Together with his letter to his sonne and articles of his beleife and his speech at the tyme of his execucon uppon tower hill on Saturday ye xiiiith of May 1631, [ca. 1631].

Manuscript, in a single secretary hand, summarizing the trial and execution of Mervyn Touchet, Lord Audley, earl of Castlehaven, for sexual crimes. The manuscript records the names of the peers present at the trial; the speeches of Lord Audley, Giles Broadway, and Laurence Fitzpatrick; the examination of the defendants; and their speeches at their executions. Also included is Lord Audley's letter to his son before his execution. On f. 38 appear two poems on the subject of adultery and sexual lust: one titled "Epitaphium," which begins "I need no trophies to adorne my hearse," and the other beginning "Rome's worst Philenes and Pasiphae's lust."
